The National Gallery of Ireland holds the national collection of European and Irish fine art.
It is a very pleasant art museum located right next to Trinity College, which is a nice example of modern/contemporary museum architecture.
They have a very nice bookshop that has a large selection of art books as well as postcards, cards and gift ideas.
There is a lovely cafe by the entrance that has a pretty relaxing atmosphere and the whole place is very accessible.
The Gallery has elevators, ramps, platforms and bathroom facilities which have been adapted for visitors like us that use wheels to get around.
Members of the staff are very friendly and helpful, like most of the Irish.
Wheelchairs are available to borrow from the Millennium Wing cloakroom.
